A grumpy old man was walking downtown one sunny day when he observed a little boy struggling hard to reach the doorbell at one of the houses in the street.

The Grumpy Old Man went to the house and very kindly asked the little boy, “Can I maybe help you with that sonny boy?” The little boy replied, “yes please Mister, that would sure help a lot.”

At which point the Old Man smiled and placed a comforting hand on the little boy’s shoulder whilst pressing the doorbell firmly with his other hand so it rang.

“There”, said the grumpy old man, as he stepped back from the door. “Now what should we do young man?”

“We should run like hell now mister”, the boy replied.
